W R Mitchell (WRM) then asks a series of questions about cotton mill life, with an overall assessment that life at the mill was not bad. The interview finishes with HC singing to his wife, Belle Cox (BC), their Diamond Wedding song.

The interview covers the early life of Henry Cox, his entry into half-time work in the local cotton mill at the age of eleven, and then full-time work from the age of thirteen. The cotton mill was owned by Hector Christy. Working conditions, roles and personalities in the mill from 1894 until 1918 are discussed.
